“Signing up for Kim’s in-person class was the single best thing I did for myself this year!”
— Colleen L.
Whether you're brand new to strength training, navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, peri/postmenopause or managing pelvic floor symptoms, Strength Foundations meets you exactly where you are.
Each workout follows a structured, circuit-based format: a mobility warm-up, a targeted core and power block, a full-body strength section, and a super chill cool down — all at your own pace, with multiple resistance and intensity levels available. The program runs in four-week cycles, so you'll build on your progress week over week with expert coaching and modifications always on hand.
These workouts are rooted in a body-positive, weight-neutral philosophy — zero diet talk, zero judgment, zero shame. Just a welcoming community focused on getting stronger together. No strength training experience is required.

What Clients Are Saying:
-

“I tended to shy away from strength training in the past because it was hard to find a workout environment that felt comfortable to me. It often felt like strength training was designed for people with a different body type and lifestyle than mine. One thing I really appreciate about Kim is how transparent she is about her own relationship to the gym. It was awesome to workout in a community of women who welcome every body type and ability level. Working with Kim has truly changed my perspective on strength training. Now it feels like it has a real place in my life!”
Nidia — education researcher, mom of 3
-

“Kim's Strength Foundations class helped me rebuild strength safely after having a baby and, more importantly, reconnect with my body in a positive way. Her classes are welcoming, inclusive, and free of judgement — she meets you exactly where you are and helps you feel strong.”
Abby — school counselor, mom of 2
-

“This was my first workout class back after having baby #3. I was nervous to get back into it as I felt like I had lost a lot of muscle mass during my pregnancy. Kim helped me to regain that confidence. By the end of the session, I felt stronger. I love that with warm ups we focused on breath and pelvic floor, and incorporated that throughout all the exercises. Kim had many variations for each exercise and would work with people individually to help meet their goals. I liked that we could go at our own pace and add on more if time allowed! Overall, I was super impressed and happy with the outcome of Strength Foundations!”
Kaitlyn — RN/IBCLC, mom of 3, soccer player
“The environment is so welcoming! All rotations and exercises have been challenging but doable for a beginner like myself. I look forward to coming each week.”
— Allison M. [mom of 2, social worker]

FAQs
-
Absolutely not. The beauty of strength training is you can take very basic, fundamental movements and make them easier or harder with small tweaks, like how slow or quickly you move and how much weight or tension you use.
I always provide several ways to make an exercise less or more challenging.
And while this isn’t 1 on 1 coaching, I will be able to give every person in the room customized attention and modifications throughout the workout. So honestly it’s the best of both worlds — a cheaper price point than personal training but you’ll still get attention and care from a coach!

This isn't a traditional fitness class for many reasons.
No matching workout sets or “perfect” bodies required!
No “bro” fitness vibes here! I value inclusion and progress over perfection.
This group will feel like a community of support and FUN (which we all need more of, right?!)
I’m able to modify exercises for you as needed for pregnancy, postpartum, peri/postmenopause or any pelvic floor symptoms.
I’ve created a solid workout program that will have you feeling better then when you started AND help you get stronger and moving easier (without the body obsession or diet culture BS)!
Plus, you get me as your coach — someone who understands real life and prioritizes sustainable progress over quick fixes.
Think of Strength Foundations somewhere between a giant group fitness class and a 1-on-1 personal training session: you’re not just an anonymous face in the crowd, you’ll actually receive personalized coaching from me every workout, but you’re also enjoying the space with other like minded women and folks who want a solid strength training workout. This is my favorite way to coach and I know participants also love this ratio of coach to people — it just feels cozy!

My #1 goal is to provide a safe, welcoming and body positive space. I don’t allow body commentary, weight loss talk, diet talk — it’s boring at best and harmful to so many (including myself).
I don’t scream at clients, I don’t tell you to push past pain and I’ll never talk about the size or shape of your body. Instead I’ll coach you through strength training lifts that will make your life easier and help your body feel better.
I promise there’s more to exercise than obsessing over your body and trying to fall in line! I hope you’ll give this a chance and make room for a new relationship with exercise.

You’ll choose your preferred day / location and sign up for that entire 8 week block.
I don’t expect perfect attendance — especially if you choose 2 workouts/week. The cost per workout is lower for that very reason. Life happens! Join us when you can, don’t sweat it when you can’t.

The Sun Prairie location has sign up directly through their website.
